Work begins on the roof of the workshop

The original roof and cupola have been removed to make way for a new roof to be framed in. This will give us a lot more space on the upper floor. This also makes it much easier for the roofers when they put on the new roofing. We have decided to go with composite slate panels. These have the look of slate, without the weight or installation issues.

This isn't the greatest shot, but it's the only one I have that shows part of the roof missing.

Building our property will consist of several phases.

The first is to finish out the building that already exists into what will become our workshop and a 1 bedroom apartment. We will live in this while building out the final home.
