Building our dream home : a chronicle of Grafton Keep

The roof install is in progress.

They have installed the ice-guard in the entire roof as requested. I figure it's a cheap insurance to have the entire roof covered in the stuff instead of just the last 6 feet. They have also started installing the composite slate tiles. These are looking great, and should last for the next 50 or so years. In theory, by the next time they need to be dealt with, I probably won't be around to worry about it.

Building our property will consist of several phases.

The first is to finish out the building that already exists into what will become our workshop and a 1 bedroom apartment. We will live in this while building out the final home.
